Dunlop Tyres South Africa treated Festival of Motoring show goers to all form of excitement over the weekend. More than just SA’s biggest motor show, the Festival attracted over 28,000 visitors to a splendid mobile show.

Among the attractions, a favourite was without doubt the Dunlop Grandtrek 4X4 Village. Dunlop’s driving instructors were kept busy throughout by a throng of off-road fans keen to ride alongside those professional off-road exports aboard a splendid variety of South Africa’s leading 4X4s, SUVs and off-road vehicles. And of course, to experience those vehicles and Dunlop’s Grandtrek 4X4 tyres first hand. As a matter of interest, among those vehicles, the  Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara and Isuzu D-Max are all factory fitted with Dunlop Grandtrek tyres.

Out on track meantime, performance car fans had the opportunity to ride along in Dunlop Sport Maxx equipped MasterDrive Mustangs around the legendary Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. Dunlop also hosted a Sim Driving competition where many a dad was shocked by his kid’s ability behind the wheel. Static displays meanwhile showed off all form of Dunlop tyres to fit whatever on or off-road car, bike and the rest. 

South Africa’s foremost circuit racing tyre supplier, Dunlop Motorsport also celebrated its significant motorsport successes in SA National Championship Global Touring Car, SupaCup and CompCare Polo Cup and many more race series. Dunlop Motorsport’s competition tyre display appropriately positioned in the Kyalami paddock included a broad range of ATS-supplied racing car and bike rubber including Dunlop’s mighty Direzza semi slicks of choice in most leading regional saloon and sports car series, displayed alongside some of the cars that race them.
